Since it has been awhile since I last posted, due to out-of-town company and all four of us getting hit with sickness, I thought I would catch you up on our favorite little guy.

Henry is such an amazing boy. We can’t believe how much he has already changed, and marvel daily at the new things he is learning. He recently had his four month appointment, and is now 15 lb. 2 oz. and is 27 inches long. He is in the 50th % for weight and the 97th % for height.

Henry has quickly moved from rolling over to scooting! He will almost immediately roll onto his stomach the minute you lay him down, and begin trying to crawl. He’s just about there, and David and I anticipate him crawling before he hits the six month mark.

David and I also had Henry dedicated on August 23rd. A baby’s dedication is really more for the parent’s…a time for them to stand up and make themselves accountable for raising their child up to follow the Lord. We were proud to be able to promise to raise our beautiful son to the best of our ability, and to teach him about Jesus. A lot of our family came to the dedication service at Gateway Community church. After the service, everyone headed back to our house for a dessert reception. It was A LOT of people, but everyone seemed to have a good time.

Henry is such a happy baby, and in addition to scooting and rolling all over, he is really beginning to “talk.” He gurgles and coos, laughs all the time, and comes up with the cutest and funniest sounds. He loves to squeal and loves it when you talk and sing to him. Henry also really enjoys playing with small toys and stuffed animals. He has been sleeping really well at night. Henry has also been enjoying rice cereal. He is becoming a very good eater. We are so blessed to have little Henry in our lives.
