Recently, we had David’s parents, Jim and Vangie come and stay with us for two weeks. They live in Ohio, and this was their first time to see Henry, as well as our new house. Hannah had also changed considerably since the last time they saw her in January. Hannah had fun playing with them, having them read her books, etc. Henry loves anyone who gives him some attention.

One of the things we did while they were here, was take them to Beacon Rock. The kids and I stayed long enough to walk around the state park, while David stayed with his parents to climb Beacon Rock itself. While the pictures make me nauseous, they all said they had a good time.

Hannah had fun walking the trail, and collecting leaves and flowers (which you can see in the picture above.) In one of the above pictures, you can see the actual field we walked around at the state park. The picture was taken from atop Beacon Rock. The following pictures were taken on Jim, Vangie, and David’s hike as well.

I think the most fun Jim had while he was here, was the time he spent driving around looking for old radios. He went to literally almost every discount/bargain store in the metropolitan area while he was here. He found a couple of old radios that he bought, and then had fun polishing them up. I think both Jim and Vangie enjoyed the kids, and had fun playing with them as well. The picture of Jim and Henry was taken while Jim was singing to Henry, and the picture of Henry and Vangie was taken on the family farm.

We were glad our kids got to spend some time with their other set of grandparents, and enjoyed their visit to Washington.
