With the recent heat wave, we have been taking every opportunity to let Hannah play outside in her new backyard. She loves to run, play with sports balls, throw her frisbee, chase bugs with her butterfly net, and play with Joey. However, her favorite things to do outside are play in her pool, and play in the “sprinkle.” Some mornings, Hannah asks to “play pool,” before she’s even eaten breakfast! We’ve been having just as much fun watching her play.

A few days ago, I brought Hannah outside with me, as I had to get something out of the shed. We hadn’t been outside longer than about twenty-thirty seconds, when I heard a big “splash.” I looked behind me, and there was my child…sitting in her pool…in all of her clothes. It was one of those moments where you could either get mad, or laugh and take pictures. I chose the latter. It was actually pretty funny, and she was having such a good time that I just let her stay and play for awhile.
